    Nice knife. How long did it take before it got returned to you after service? I have been thinking about sending mine in for a little bit of TLC.

    the turnaround time was quoted at 10-12 days, and from the time I sent it (Feb. 7th) i received it on the 27th.

    so it took about 20 days from start to finish. really not that bad.

    Also, my knife needed a lot of work.

    it had some rusting in the liner, it squeeked when i opened it and it was dusty/dirty from not carrying it for a year or so.

    now it's like new and sharper than it has ever been.

    Nice to know. When my new 530 gets here I will send my 940 in for a fresh edge. She is starting to get a few knicks in the blade. Thanks again.

    i'm pretty sure they won't sharpen the serrations, though.

    Yes I think your right. However, they seem to be fine. It is the other portion of the blade that needs the attention.

    I dont like serrations.Found this,couldnt walk away.Everytime I go to send it in to BM for a blade swap,(They have plain satin edges in stock...at least they did a month ago) I cant do it.I have a logo'ed plain satin and a 6150 plain satin.I dont know what my hang up w/ this serrated one is...I freakin love it...I dont what to...but..WTF....I dont like serrations ,I dont like serrations..ffrrrrgn thing.

    Thanks, it's black paper micarta.
    The couple of small black spots you see(one near the clip and the other on the middle of the opposite side of the knife) are wet spots left by my wet fingers.
