Most certainly nice pics .......if I may ask .... do you use a fancy camera (meaning not just a point and shoot)
How do you get the indoor lighting just right.?

Hey DJ- with my photos it’s hit or miss, and indoor photos are the toughest to get. I use a Canon PhotoShot SD950 IS, nothing fancy. One trick that I’ve learned with my camera is to use the Macro setting, it helps with the fine focus.

There are a lot of stuff on this camera that I don’t know how to use so I just use the auto stuff.

It also takes video, which I just started to experiment with- a couple of examples that I put on YouTube, F-15s flying over my house

damn dude, you live right at the end of the runway do you?

I haven't seen a military jet flying that close to the public since an airshow back in the mid eighties where they flew directly over the crowds heads.

Now that was quite the way to open the show. Bloody guy flew in from directly behind the crowd, at what looked like no more than 30 feet over the roof of a hanger. He must have hammered the throttle just as he passed over head too, sounded like the sky had exploded...

Nobody even heard it coming. The way everyone's heads snapped around I am surprised no one had a broken neck.

Oh, and cool vids by the way, thanks for sharing those. I love watching military jets in action.

APBT, am I right in assuming that that's a hybrid of the G-10 handle with the M390 blade? If so, I like that one. It's on my list. When I do get one, I'm hoping the A/O can go...I don't much like mouse-trap blades.

If I get stuck, I might have to settle for the one with the metal bolsters.

Actually, I do like the A/O on my ZT 301 & 350. Those blades are so heavy that I welcome the help kicking them out of the handle. My ZT 200 is a manual and it's a fight to launch that blade. You have to whip-crack your wrist to get the blade out.

Yes. That is the scales off the 580-1102 installed on a 581. I worked the edge and it's a laser. I haven't had a problem closing the knife, but I know what u mean. I close My knives with one hand and closing it with the A/O on these feels a bit scary lol

I agree the A/O on the 030x is nicely executed. Sadly, I had to let mine go. I still have my 0200kw , I love whipping that blade out

Reminded me of The Nuge singing "When in doubt, I whip it out!"

or Blazing Saddles, "Excuse me while I whip this out."

I have this song playing in my head now.

"when a good time turns around
    you must whip it
you will never live it down
    unless you whip it
    no one gets away
    until they whip it "

"Whip it, whip it good "

Indeed, time for something completely different...

Perhaps a return to a couple of classics that got me started with my love of knives in general and BM in particular.

One, the knife I really wanted but couldn't afford back in the day ( the 910hs ) and the one I bought instead, because it did fit my budget at the time ( or rather, the one I bought from DB to replace the original one I had that has since disappeared into the ether of the years since I bought it - thanks again DB, still loving it

That's a nice re-shaping job you did there! I prefer a pointy blade most of the time.

    Good job!
