Its really nice, it fits great in the back pocket and feels like there is very little there. They are made in Boston as well which I find kinda cool. I bought it for about 20 bucks and it was one of the best purchases I have made. Fits a decent amount of stuff as well and its pretty durable. The reason I got it is because I didn't like the heft of my former wallet when I sat down.

I agree, I am a ZT fan. I have a few, I just thought that particular model was , meh. I guess stock market photos did it no justice.

Nope, I just satined out all the hardware.
maprik(on USN) did the scale work.
It took him about a week and he's quite affordable too.

Its one of those that you should try .......
It took me two trys , but I like mine now too.

I wasn't too excited about the 801 when I first saw it but put in a preorder anyway figuring that ZTs always sell good if I didn't like it. It's a whole different story when you get it in hand though.... it is one of my favorite knives.

I hear ya. I'm sure I'd like it more if I had one in hand. However, it does nothing for me from what I've seen so far of it.

I must say that I don't really know why Benchmades liner-locks and frame-locks are usually...if not always...set up for tip down carry. Axis locks are a different animal and pretty much have to be tip-up carry or else the clip limits access to the Axis buttons. I know some Axis knives are drilled to accept a clip in other positions, but having tried it it didn't work for me.

I actually don't have any problem with liner & frame locks being tip-down carry. Their blades seem to launch plenty fast.

I'd have bought a few new knives except they were tip down. I just don't do tip-down anymore. I want get my 800s & 812s converted so I can carry them again.
Then, about eight more.
