what I was trying to convey is – lets say you are an experienced marksman and take in a novice to train, then that student accidentally shoots them self or somebody else? just thinking

Usually range officers or instructors are insured againts such incidents and so is the gun range itself (owners), if your just a regular guy that wants to help somebody out and no matter how experienced you are and a tragedy happens then you can find yourself in serious trouble.

The best thing is to stay away from such possible situations and let a licensed, authorised profesional handle the instruction.

approx. 2" electrical tape...

approx. 30' 50lbs braid...

(tied off piece of strand at tag end of braid for visual reference)

embedded a couple copper beads at both corners of last knot prior to sealing off...

another guy was using lead split shot, but wasn't a fan of that idea. couldn't locate any tin split shot so i went with the beads. figured they could double as a flash attractant. there's a slight swell at end with the taped hooks; I think i can eliminate next round with slightly less tape, or maybe just wrap tape around hooks and not around cord, then wrap line around both. will give it another whirl after the camo cord comes in.
