482 Megumi Bladeplay?
Hey,
I really like the Megumi but it seems like mine has a bit of horizontal blade play. I play around with the pivot screw and when I get to the point of no blade play the action becomes very stiff. Does anyone else experience this or is it just me?

I did not have that problem with my 482. I did find the action quite stiff due to rubbing from lock. As mentioned elsewhere I bent the lock to the point that it does not engage. Problem solved.0 -
Same as Chip - I don't have any blade play, but mine was just about impossible to open one handed. I lubed it with Tuf-Glide and worked it quite a bit over a few days, and it's fine now. 0 -
Yeah it was really tough to open it one handed, when I allow the pivot to become just a tad loose it works fine but then it has some blade play. I've trying lubing it up, I'm not sure what else to do. 0 -

I didn't have any luck with Blue Lube, and I sort of thought the Tuf-Glide might have worked because it penetrated into the pivot better. It seemed to start working better as soon as I used that, but I had been working it for a while, so maybe that's just a coincidence.0 -
I had the same exact issue with my 484-1 Nakamura. 0
