The subject has come up a few times in the blade steel thread, so here it is.
What blade grinds would you like to see? What is it about that grind that appeals to you?

I've always liked the look and performance of a full flat grind. I LOVE the 53, but I understand a lot of fans can't carry a balisong daily, so perhaps an axis folder with a full flat grind. I know I'd buy one. 0 -

I really like the 552 and the 581, which are both near full flat grinds.
I dislike hollow ground blades, but otherwise I'm not too picky.0 -

I like full flat grind and hollow ground also.
I like a knife to slice with little resistance as possible.
Thats why the 740 DajaVoo is one of my favs.0 -
+10 on full flat grinds. A great one would be a grip and mini grip, a little more tip (more point) than the Ritter grip shape, say in between the standard drop point and the Ritter, but FFG. I think I LE FFG in M4 would go like crazy.
I think this is what's definitely missing. Otherwise BM has a wide selection of grinds.
On thing related to grinds, that I absolutely love about BM is how "efficient" most blades are. By this I mean the blade is nearly as long as the folded length, i.e. 707, 940, and many more. Please keep this up, I realize it is part grind, part handle design.0 -

Ffg, or high flat, but definitely thinner stock. There are too many knives being made that sacrifice citing performance to increase blade "strength". I would love to see a super steel blade being made with a profile that actually uses the increased strength of the steel.

Agree with higher grinds and thinner stock.
Enough sharpened rail road spikes out there as we get into harder steels that can take the "thinness".

I know not too many folks here will agree with me, but I'd love to see a chisel grind variant again. I've got several 970/975s (my first was a 975) and a 910SCG. I'd prefer a folder, but I would be just as tickled if it was in a fixed blade, say the 375.
If I'm not mistaken, it's been about 15 years since any US-made knife was done in a chisel grind. Somebody here please correct me if I missed it.

I'd like to see a different version of the tanto that the Grip has.
Normally the benefit of the American tanto is it's thin behind the edge and holds its thickness pretty close to the tip. The Grip-style tanto is the exact opposite. It doesn't hold its thickness any farther than any other grind, and its saber grind is pretty thick.
Adjusting the angle between straight parts of the edge to something more acute (so that the tip would be closer to where the blade is still at max thickness) and changing it from (flat) saber to hollow would be pretty neat I think.0 -
Full flat grinds. The occasional saber grind.
Hollow grind, chisel grind and tanto grinds I am absolutely uninterested in. (Exception: chisel grinds are great on chisels!)
Thinner vs thicker blade stock - I can appreciate both.0 -
