Blade grinds
The subject has come up a few times in the blade steel thread, so here it is.
What blade grinds would you like to see? What is it about that grind that appeals to you?

You mean something like this?
I might ditch the saftey razor for that!0 -
Seriously benchmade... when are you selling those?

Wow, that razor is amazing! That really is something special.
Would love to see that deep hollow grind on more stuff too.0 -
Yes, some of the deep hollow grinds like Jody used to grind
Maybe even some of pieces Jody designed that were never ground

Another vote here. The more I use them the more I like them.0 -
I like hollow grinds when they’re done right. The 550 is the best example of a good design. It has a sturdy thickness at the spine and tip. 0.115 in. works well. The edge is not too thin and maintains a fairly consistent thickness even though it’s hollowed out. If that makes any sense. I can keep a very sharp edge regardless of the bevel I choose.
Full flat grinds are peachy too.0 -

That Razor is Awesome! Benchmade, you have to put that in production.
I will concur with many others on a full flat grind.0 -
Please oh please oh please! I want that straight razor! 0 -

There is a reason for that. Some things are better off left un-seen.

I think a lot of Benchmade products would benefit from just having a much higher grind.
With the move to better blade steels, a higher grind thinner behind the edge would produce enormous improvements.
But what do I know.
BTW, am more than willing to help.

Nice Razor
I hate to say it AGAIN, but what oakengroves said...
Full Flat Grind + 3.5 Blade + CPM-M4/M390 + Carbon Fiber/Exotic Wood Handles + Below 4.5oz + Manual Axis Lock = Benchmade Supremacy.0 -
For me, a hair under 4" & almost FFG.
(Not much style in FFG) Already have dozens of 'em.
High hollow ground would be nice as well.0 -

I would like to see more full grinds on Benchmades. I would really like to see a full height hollow on a knife. 0 -
I like Saber grind as is. Not much of Hollow grind fan.
Would Hamaguri grind be easy to do?

High hollow grind...on a custom shop bali. 0 -
You mean... something like this?
I would also like to see the 12800's blade shape/grind applied to the 940. I've tried a blade swap - the 12800's blade is .5mm too long.
