That shocks me. So much love (I thought) for that thicker non-alum G10- handle (tho not by me). And my favorite std steel.

They must have used up the pile of D-2 they had sitting out back.

The Hunt series is basically re-branded BC knives, except for the Axis lock knives, which are completely new. S30V, G10 or Dymondwood scales, full liners. One even has a gut hook on the back of it reminiscent of the Triage.

Leatherman had a model like that for a long time...I think it's discontinued now.

Glad to have stocked up on a few of these models. Stout little folders with excellent Pardue ergos, and BM does D2 right at ~61RC and with a great geometry. Great knives for folks who cut stuff.

I have to mirror Professor's thoughts here. I gave my cousin a large Bonesidio I picked up on the forum with a BC blade. He sold his Sebenza a couple months layer. He works on an oil rig and uses his pocket Knife a couple dozen times a day. He was having to torch up his Sebenza daily, but the BC blade only needs sharpened every 6-8 days. That knife is beat up now, but it's been going for 2 years now.

I really like the Bone Collector line. I understand the rebranding.

So when does the sub-forum get renamed?

Sorry about cracking open such an old thread but I think the hunt series looks great. I am just waiting on BM to create a North Fork with an opening hole. I photoshopped what it might look like.

In the mean time I modded my Bone Collector with pillar standoffs.

Am I the only one who doesn't care for the new G10 appearance. I much prefer the older handles. The new stuff looks kinda cheesy to me.

The BC is one of my favs and I'm glad I held back an extra or two.

BM seems to be phasing out the thumb hole except on the grips. Shame.

That must mean majority of people want thumb stud... I prefer thumb hole, or oval like 808. There is no compare cent when you try to open in colder climate / you are chilled like right after jogging in rainy weather.

I miss those thumb holed knives.

I wish there had been a something in the Hunt Series with a blade similar to the 15030 & 15020

Just another thumb-hole supporter here... that sounds bad... After experimenting with and carrying different thumb stud and thumb hole knives, I decided to prioritize thumb-hole openers for my future purchases.

... I would also LOVE an option for flat ground instead of just hollow ground on the thumb hole blades.

I own a large and mini, both word handle Axis folders, and I just cannot understand why some dislike the knives. I dig them, but I attempted to sell one or both to fund a 710 and ran into heavy reluctance. Eh, I will keep them both. They are a solid knife, IMHO.

I think we have cached up on this, but for the record, 808 Loco, Onslaught, and 550 in D2, S30V, M4, & 20CV are saber grind.

If you can get a hold of, 806 AFCK is a very nice one.
