Boinkman, I know you’ve spoken highly of the 818 many times.
I can’t believe I’ve still never even handled one...
Did you ever get a chance to mess with an 808?
The original Loco is still among my top 3 BKC folders of the last decade.
I’ve been neglecting mine for the last couple years though, exploring new & older stuff...
This just in:
It’s time for me to get Loco, once again.
I couldn’t put the 808 down for an entire year back in 2015.
I miss it. Going to show some love to one of my preferred blades by reuniting it with my pocket much more in the near future. I just LOVE everything about that knife...
Do I still need to try the mini?0 -

I've been itching to try the 808 although in the world of regular/mini ratios, the disparity is less between these two than other models. I would highly recommend the 818 but I suspect you may find the handle a tad small or cramped.0 -

Well, that’s it...
I’ve got to go out and handle one.
I initially thought that the 818 was out of the question, since the 808 fits my hand perfectly. I LOVE the 808 in hand. But the Mini still seems to be quite the substantial knife. That makes me want one. I know I love my full sized Grips... I’ve got to say, I find the 818 so interesting due to it’s robustness in a more EDC friendly package. I’m starting to think there’s a place in my collection for one of these... Probably should just order one at this point, lol. If it doesn’t jive with me for whatever reason, it can go to Mrs. Mac...

I think if a full grip works for you Mac, the 818 should be fine. The only difference is the loco arches more and gives the fingers less room to roam.0 -
Love mine, fits perfectly in my hand.
In fact I'm carrying mine today!!!0 -

Yes, this is similar to rift in "pinky placement" with shortened grip..0
