This is a knife I haven't really paid attention to until this NPA. I really like the shape of this knife and definitely plan on picking this up in the near future.

    Jason, 2 questions:

    1) do the liners have lightening holes?
    2) in the last pic who thought it'd be really a hot idea to set two perfectly good knives on fire. Shame on them they should burn in the brim fires of the ever after!

Help a noob out still learning all the details of certain things, what do you mean by lightening holes? Are you asking if they are hollow to save weight?

Any idea when this will be in dealer hands?

The liners are what hold the AXIS lock / pivot / spacers and scales (handles) together.

Holes in the liners make the knife a tad bit lighter.

See, rather than having an "elitist attitude", some older, established members took time to explain something to a self-professed "noob."

    That's how a community works.

    1. Yessir, they do indeed.
    2. I have a feeling I know, but wouldn't want to sell them out. But I agree, there was no need to set them on fire.

A few online dealers already have them

At this point, most dealers who want them should have them. We shipped on Friday.

Just limited and Golds getting the DLC love? Wish we had more than the axis lock bar on the bugout.

We have a few SKUs that utilize DLC as a primary coating. The 4600/4700, for example.

Please, please, PLEASE let there be a Gold or limited DLC'd Loco...
I'd even settle for a souped up 818...
    Gah...
    The thought!
Still excited to try this mini in hand though.

/|\ Jason, would it help us get the 943-1 if we had Mac put on his knee pads & weep for the 943-1?
    Big Grin

PS: Mac the 943-1 will be great for cutting both bear & your toe nails, so it is an essential piece of camping gear.

PSS: carry weight of two 943-1 is less than one 818 (less touch up sharpening in the field)
    Cool

I must say, my first reaction was to be absolutely delighted see this!
    Then I quickly became skeptical.
I knew it was too good to be true.
A DLCed mini Loco (blade & hardware) with CF scales sounds perfect.
Actually, now that I think about it....wanna race?
