I like the way that looks, too. a vast improvement over a chipped up black. 0 -

Thanks fellas....Here is a pic of the painted clip I heated w/ the paint still on. Just held the bottom side over a flame for a few beats, cleaned up and....I expect it to wear like a Parkerized clip....Should prob move these to the clip junky thread...Sooo happy w/ my 710 M390, ...Ironicly, the 805 in M390 is what I'm hot for now...Nice piece Tony.

The clip not attatched is a new, untouched clip.0 -
Lookin good.

That clip looks super Patrick! I should probably get a m390 710 before it's too late.... Anyone want to trade for a 710 d2 and some cash?
0 -
Anyone ever try getting their clips powder coated? Does it hold up any better than paint? 0 -
That clip does look good, I need to see if any of my painted clips are still in good enough shape to try that on. 0 -

Haha..thanks different. I was really suprised at how the clip turned out. My first 710 was a D2, missed it so bad, swore id get a -2. Took awhile but I got it here from B-man. Cant recommend it enough.
@ Death- Thought about powder coating, never looked into. There is a home kit I think, you bake in the oven.
@ Something- That should work on a clip thats chipped.0 -
That's not what I want to hear! I want to hear how the d2 is every bit as good ant not to worry about getting an m390
oh well... someday0 -
I bought my 710-2 new because I wanted to get one before it was too late, but I've seen a few used ones for good prices since then and wished I'd waited. 0 -

I hadn't yet done the final touch ups on these when the pics were taken. I still needed to De-burr & Buff.
But, other wise than that:
Another mini leaves the hive.

^^^^I like this look a lot too Keyman. If I end up finding a M4 Mini Ritter I might just have you doll it up like this one. I really like the black and chrome. You do good work. 0 -
Why, Thank you JR; it would be a pleasure.
Good luck with your hunt.
It will be well worth the work.....mmm M4 goodness!
With an awesome stonewashed DLC too!
Godspeed!0 -
These are hard to find, they're Steigerwalt designed lock backs with Micarta scales made for the NRA line a number of years ago and are in 440C.

Those look damn nice Joe.
First lockbacks I've seen in many years that I actually liked the look of enough to make me want to check one out in person.
I'll bet my local BM dealer has one, he is so overpriced he has many N.O.S. items on the shelf...0 -

Hahaha! More like hoppes #9!0 -
That wouldn't be too bad. Hoppes #9 smells better than Listerine and most aftershave lotions.quote:Rezarf wrote...Hahaha! More like hoppes #9!
