Paul and I have been talking to our BM. dealer for 2 years now about a 707 le.A few months ago BM said yes and should have a proto for us at shot.The knife should be out 6-8 wks after.
It will have blue alum. with cf or g 10 insert in silver or light gray,m390 satin blade and bright hardware. We will let everyone know how Matt wants to do orders when knife comes out.
The count will be 125 and all forum members will have a chance to get one, price should not be bad at all.

For me, hold out for M390 but what ever happens, no coated blades on this one please.
That being said, I'm in no matter what's on this one.

I would be in for M4, but I'd rather wait for M390, unless they'll give us M4 uncoated...

S30v doesn't interest me too much, although I might still buy one just to replace my 154cm 707.

M390 and I'll wait. M4 and I'll consider it. S30V is good, but not special enough to get all etcitipated about. There are still -701s and -702s out and about.

My preference would be satin m390, already got a couple of Cera M4s (Though M4 DLC would be kinda cool), s30v would be ok especially if it kept costs down.

but my pick of the litter would be M390

most of us do not want a coated blade so I guess we will wait for m390 it will happen many knives to buy while we wait and wait and wait.

I still want something with uncoated M4 that doesn't have a hole in the blade...

And yet they came out with the 730 LE in M390 around the same time...

Considering the pics that pascal posted of the clear Cerakote chipping away, maybe the DLC coating if it's M4?

I believe I saw a post where MCM said the 730 withj the m390 was in the works way before the forum knife was being figured out.

But when were they being made? Maybe my timeline is off, but wasn't production of the Ares being done while we were figuring out what we wanted, which means that they were making M390 blades for the Ares at the time they were telling us it wasn't an option for the Forum Knife? Did the warping become an issue after the Ares blades were already cut?
