Paul and I have been talking to our BM. dealer for 2 years now about a 707 le.A few months ago BM said yes and should have a proto for us at shot.The knife should be out 6-8 wks after.
It will have blue alum. with cf or g 10 insert in silver or light gray,m390 satin blade and bright hardware. We will let everyone know how Matt wants to do orders when knife comes out.
The count will be 125 and all forum members will have a chance to get one, price should not be bad at all.

called BM. today was told still having trouble with m390 warping but the knife will be made after issues are resolved.thats all I got, and we wait.BM would like to change steel but we told them no we want m390. 0 -

I believe they have had a lot of warpage issues during HT and even just cutting M390.
Nothing wrong with the knives shipped, just a lot of waste during manufacture. (High cost to produce due to warpage)
IMO Its the best SS Benchmade has ever produced.
All I know is I am not selling any of my M390 Benchmade's. Just in case........
(That's why it was not an option on the Forum knife way back in Jan.)

S30V would be fine for a small knife like the 707, for me. 0 -
s30v would be ok if you all want it or m4 but we would have to coat m4 for corosion maybe clear coat like the forum knife. Let me know what you guys think. 0 -
Whatever the majority wants would be understandable.
That being said, I was in for M390 or M4.
So, if it's s30v; I think I'm out.
