The missing 1301 has been found. Just now posted under new arrivals at KW.

It says red and black layered G10. I can't see any red in the photo.

The description says cerakote. The description for the 1303 on GP knives said "BK1" coated. Is the 1303 BK coating and the 1301 cerakote?

Ooh, ooh, look at the read standoffs.

This is pretty sweet, finally a factory grip in G10! The red standoffs are a nice touch!

Thanks Geo for the heads up! I'm sincerely greatful to the members here who are out there with their ears to the ground and keeping me informed of all the knives I gotta have.

Not sure why I still gotta have it when I already have a gold class Grip, but heck, I'm such a Grip fan now, I can't let such a standout slip through my hands. I'd prefer a solid back spacer myself, like the Gold Grip. Standoffs are utilitarian all right, but just seem like a cheap way to build a premium knife. That said, red anodized standoffs is something new and interesting. The pics on KW look like solid black G10 scales to me. I hope the blk/red G-10 isn't the same blk/pink G-10 from the original Ares. That was awful.

Anyway, been thinking a M4 grip in more of a user grade package would be good to have. This looks fantastic. Can't wait. When is the SHOT show, I suppose we will be waiting until Roger gets back with his SHOT booty in hand?

Those red standoffs look pretty sick. I'm wondering, is this the only Shot Show Special BM knife they're coming out with?

Should be only one SS Special.

Too intriguing to pass on-- s'offs and G10 heft! 750 is a bunch-- don't believe they made too many more GC Grips than that.

Good point, blue would have been better, but I'm happy to finally get a Grip with factory G10 of any sort.

What do folks have against red/black G10??? It looks awesome! Not the maroon/black g10 that the Ares used, but nice bright red/black G10.

I don't have anything against red/black, I just happen to like blue/black

Actually, I don't think I've ever had a knife with red and black G10, so I might very well like it a lot. I can't see much color in the G10 on these, but I really like the texture.

The red didn't bother me because from the pictures, it is so understated that I can't even see any red in the handle. Now if it looked like an old Ares candy cane, I would have had to re-think getting one.

I excited for it. Man...it feels like I'm getting quite a collection of Grips. Who would of thunk it?

I don't mind red and black. I've just never seen it done where it really looks great like the blue and black always does. It's usually not as red as one would wish but really more of a pink.

Ordered, thanks. The KW website says this one is Cerakote, so I assume that's what will arrive (but you never know).

Colors blend on the 6/6 nylon b'spacers, don't know about the G10. Black/mud might be nice!-- or at least preferable (to me) to blk/red....

My own modest experience with colored G10 and dye, and more "experience" looking at others' results, is not encouraging in that regard.

Yeah don't really have anything against red/black but blue/black generally tends to look pretty nice. I guess I'll read up some reviews on the forum when they come up before I pick one up (if they are still available, which I have a feeling there will be).

I like the look of this one , I am not a grip fan because Benchmade has beat that horse to death, I went to the factory store and it was disapointing . Nothing but triage and grips a few other things but not even any of the cool stuff on display anymore.

I was expecting a little more out of Benchmade than a grip for a shot show knife, Everything has been reworked so much just changing colors and little things, its time for some new designers!

Now that being said I did order one so I will be adding my first ever grip

The first (and probably the only) grip in so many years that has a G10 handle -- this already guarantees this model will have a place in Benchmade's history.

If there is no limit per customer I will definitely buy more than one. Still, order placed.

Looking back, it is amazing that with all these dealer exclusives coming out from KW and gpknives last year I still do not get tired of getting another grip.
