Fake Anthem 781?
I purchased an Anthem781 from a site called Bladecities. It is not the same knife as the 781 that was stolen from me. It weighs 20 grams less, it is lighter in color, there are no holes drilled for reversing the clip and the axis lock mechanism came apart after less than 10 uses. It came in a Black Box that says it is a "Black Class". Worst of all, I can see a line where it looks as though the handle could be split apart. Otherwise it looks just like a 781 Anthem.
Does anyone have any idea as to what I have.

If there are no holes for the other clip side, it’s definitely fake

If you see a line down the spine of the handle you have a counterfeit. The 781 Anthem's handle is cut from a solid piece of titanium. Thus no split between the two sides of the handle. A few other tell tale signs confirm that it is a counterfeit but the handle separation is the biggest. As well the Anthem is not a "Black Class" but a "Blue Class" knife.
Hope this helps!

Thank you all! I had no idea that Counterfeit Benchmade Knives were out there. It has been many years since I purchased a knife on the internet. Hard to believe how bad things have gotten when you can't buy a knife and not worry that it will be a fake.
