Well seeing as there’s Chinese lettering on that label, I’m gonna go with it it’s fake but I haven’t seen the knife, so who knows

Would you please say how you can tell? That would be very helpful to me. I have another bugout - different color - and a few others, including Claymore & Infidel. Would you check those out as well? Maybe my son was collecting fakes? Is there a market for them or should I toss? Thanks!

/|\ My condolences to your family.

While fake Benchmade’s have little aftermarket value as original cost runs mostly $20 to $60, they still can be sharpened & cut.

Because the fakes have ripped off some great designs their better than a lot of gas station knives.

On his phone we find an e-mail from KnivesShipFree. Ring any bells?

I will post a couple more tomorrow. Glad for your help.

I have a hard time telling if a knife is legit too , thats why I only buy from authorized dealers or a trusted member of this forum ......... never ebay

This one came in the mail on Friday (after he passed away). Maybe a replacement for an identical one that doesn't function properly. Box certainly looks bogus - but can the knife be correct?

    Thanks.

Please take another look at this one - not what appears to be and incorrect clip. Thanks.

    Looks fine

I mean if I had to guess.  If it came in that box it’s possible it’s legit but seeing as you have a ton of other fakes makes me question it.     Unless your son found a real one then bought a bunch of fakes.

Yeah ----- I have no idea what was going on there. He was trading knives for pot with a "sales rep" from somewhere but also, apparently, dealing with KnivesShipFree. Go figure. What do you make of the clip? Thanks!
