Thanks Bladedbutterfly. The lower the number the more stunning they look.

No doubt…this would’ve been the lowest number released to the public, yeah?

In most cases at least in the "Old days" When Les was still with us, number 1 would be added to the "Les Collection". Sometimes a couple others were retained. Number 4 could be the lowest number released. If you really want to know for sure I would contact Benchmade CS and ask.

The general consensus here in the forum when it comes to GC or LE numberings is if you happened on some odd chance to get a number 1 (Super, super rare) or say you got the last one in a series its worth "a bit more". In most cases R&D and Prototypes garner more when it comes to some collectors. It really breaks down to what the seller wants and what the buyer is willing to pay.

Good luck with your sale Stever82!

Got me to thinking, I should try to sell my unlabeled factory escapee, stainless steel scaled 485 (One of a kind) for about 5k! Lol

I wonder what this #1 might be worth? Somehow was lucky enough to score this a few years back.

Yeah, It's buried in the safe as I rarely ever take it out. I'll see if I can make time this weekend and post back a pic or two.

A guy had a user that was listed for $199.99 on the bay back in January that ended without being sold. I've seen them go upwards of $400 in the past. But what BMK hasn't doubled or tripled in price on the second hand marked.

If yours is minty its definitely worth hanging on to.
