    [@mention:589880809437764246] makin it happen!!!

I have to say that the highlights for me are definitely:

    1. The Gold Immunity: it's just small enough that it gives us a second Gold option for a 5th-pocket carry.  The only other option was the Impel, and the Impel was limited so nobody in the universe carries that as a 5th-pocket carry. I guess you could say there are other 5th-pocket carry options like the Saibu, Valet, and 945, but once you get too far past 3", 5th pocket can be wonky. Just for that reason, I'll be picking this one up.  I only wish it were an auto - I'd have happily settled for it being a Partial Immunity Gold class if that's what it would have taken to go from a manual to an auto in order to maintain sales to auto-problematic states.  I happened to be carrying one of my Impels as a 5th pocket carry today and thought about how sweet it would be to have a Gold Immunity auto instead.  I guess I'll have to dream.  Or maybe buy a Gold Immunity and an Auto Immunity, disassemble both and see how much modification would be required on the Damasteel blade (probably far too much, and almost certainly not enough material to make the detent work for an Axis Auto, but who knows..?).  This will tear at me a bit because I love the Gold, but I just tried an Auto Immunity and was close to pulling the trigger because it's quite nice.  Now I'm torn...

    2. The Adira - Yes please.  A Magnacut Griptillian with the ergos of AWT aftermarket scales and the weight-reduction and non-corrosion of plastic with a MAP of $225?!  With the extra texture, I think the Alira can be the next evolution of the 556 Grip-to-Freek process and it's probably the most interesting knife in the lineup.  If you've been looking for a new "beater" knife, either the full-size or the mini Adira are going to be extremely tough to beat, especially at the $225/$205 price point.  That's Benchmade going back to how things should be.  The only thing I don't like about it is the May 2024 release date.  I'd prefer a January 2024 release date...

    3. The "Mini" Meatcrafter: there will be a couple of those purchased for the kitchen.  I've been hoping for a santoprene-handled Benchmade for the kitchen and the Meatcrafter is a lot of knife.  The "Mini" is a better fit for my needs, so I'm stoked to get that offering, and in 154cm, I know it will perform great in the dishwasher without needing to be babied.

    4. The Auto Mini Adamas in chaos carbon fiber and Magnacut - if you have to ask "Why?", you're dead on the inside.  All I can say about this is "IT IS ABOUT DANG TIME!!"

I think they're not gonna work for me personally, but the new Bushcrafter and Mini Bushcrafter are finally showcasing Sibert custom designs where he often uses contrasting g10 and carbon fiber, and while they're listed as Cruwear and s30v, I wouldn't at all be suprised to see them both release in last-minute Magnacut.  The Narrows was a bit too "Narrows" for my hand...but man-oh-Manischewitz - if it worked better in my hand, I'd be all over the new murdered-out model.

And I don't know that I'll be a buyer, but you can guarantee I'm trying out that OTF Claymore.  That double-side serration looks pretty SIIIIIICK.  Looks like they're having a short vacation to Microtech town

...and they even have a new Bali
...my bet says they're releasing at least three Golds next year:

    1. (obviously) the Gold Immunity

    2. A limited gold Mini Adamas (they're clearly understanding the success of Sibert designs, and they have to respect the following of the gold MLK and Vicar.  Shane has never struck out when it comes to Benchmade and I think they know they're gonna go back to that gold mine...)

    3. A limited gold Necron - and that'll be a freaking FEEDING FRENZY with the bali collectors

I’m a little bit underwhelmed. The the new CF Bushcrafter and mini models look great. That’s a go-to field knife for me for the last decade. . Have to see an actual image instead of 3D rendering before I jump, but shedding some weight from that model would be righteous.

Cool to see the auto mini Adamas. I was really hoping to see a full size Adamas in the -03 configuration this year, but I’ll keep holding my breath. Hoping MM is right about the gold class Adamas. That would be a wallet buster for me.

The saltwater knives look good from a materials and price perspective, but I’m underwhelmed on the designs.

There are a few things in there that will keep my attention, but I’m surprised to not see more new models.

Also hoping for a Magnacut Crooked River and/or Mini Crooked River. (Annnnnd also that Micro crooked river and fixed crooked river. Both Magnacut, please Jason!)

I have never handled a Shootout but I'm definitely intrigued by a drop point Shootout.

I'll come out of the woodwork to lodge my annual complaint. Benchmade had exclusive access to the Axis lock for 20 years, and the only manual flipper they made was the 300, which had horrendous action. Since the patent lapsed, almost every company that has made an Axis lock style knife has been able to make a manual Axis flipper with good, if not great action. Sadly, none of them is made in USA. Step it up Benchmade, there's dozens on the market and a clear demand for manual Axis flippers. You can do better.

Glad to see a smaller Meatcrafter - that’s a winner in my book. My 6” Meatcrafter has seen quite a bit of use, but a slightly smaller version would be a great companion to it - as would a slightly larger version.

Which leads me to the Fishcrafter(s). An 8” version would have been the perfect companion, but they did 7” and 9” versions instead…… Alas, Babylon! I might end up going with the 7” version and selling off my 6” Meatcrafter, depending on how the magnacut performs; despite my best efforts efforts, there is a bit of rust peeping out from under the santoprene handle of my 154CM Meatcrafter.

Not sure how I feel about the Undercurrent or the Intersect; but my interest is piqued. We’ll see when I get them in hand.

The Mini Bushcrafter looks very good, but $380 MSRP for the S30V version and $480 for the Cru-Wear…..?? Are the handles made out of stabilized unicorn horn?

The Adira is the one that’s really got me interested - a slightly larger Grip, in Magnacut, with a different handle. That’s the one I’m really looking forward to.

There are more than a few mistakes in the catalog, though. I’m kind of surprised; for example: the 4” Meatcrafter is listed as haveing an “open” length of 11.06”, which is the same as the 6” Meatcrafter. I’ve found quite a bit of stuff like that. Hopefully this catalog is the “rough draft”.
