    /|\ No.

Never liked Grips, & don’t like neoprene ( or other rubber feeling handles). So this is a combo of designs I don’t care for.

Partial to Wharncliffe/sheefsfoot/reverse tanto type blades. So *probably* not.

I believe there is no rubber on that handle. It is all plastic, even the bumpy part.

/|\ Thanks Mark. So it’s a grippier Grip still hard pass for me.

For me the 950’s scalloped handles are solid in hand. To me it is one of a 1/2 dozen classic Benchmade’s they should bring back one a year on a rotational basis.

I'm wondering who or what is the target market for these? I know the Federal government has changed their purchasing codes and I no longer know the procedure or numbering system used for approval to purchase.  I was thinking, maybe government contract. But I'm obviously clueless.

    Maybe someone knows.

Their marketing is all over the place on this one. The first emails I received from BKC about the Redoubt used something like “when you are your own backup” or “when you are on your own” or something like that, and seemed to be geared as a lightweight but tough as nails tactical knife…like the Claymore. Then I started to get emails that seemed oriented toward an automotive mechanic.

The latest couple of emails are oriented toward DIY folks tinkering in the garage.

It just looks like a bigger Griptilian to me.

I handled one at a local dealer. Thoughts.

This knife is way bigger than I was picturing. It is not super long so to speak (longer than I was thinking) however the handle is pretty tall (yet slim). So tall I had an issue using the thumb stud while holding it.

I will confirm the nubby part is hard Grivory.

    The pocket clip is nice.

it is a robust value priced knife.

I would have gotten one but I was there for an auto 940…

I'm still in the maybe department. I'm waiting on my local guy to get his shipment of 945 GCs as I requested a couple. And knowing my luck I'll go spend $$ on something and then they'll arrive.
