Levitator spring
I purchased a Harley Davidson Levitator and would like to install a spring to make it automatic like the McHenry models. But I can’t figure out what type of spring to purchase, or if it would even work. Does anyone know if it can be made automatic and if so, what type of spring do I need?

The Benchmade Harley Davidson Levitator is based on the Benchmade 310 Benchmite non automatic Knife. The Benchmite 3100 Automatic Knife has a extended arm on the backspacer that makes contact with the tang of the blade causing it to pop open when the release on the scale/liner is pressed.
While it would be possible to make a backspacer that duplicates the Benchmite Auto the blade would also require modification. I think I still have one tucked away somewhere as I rarely carry it. If I find it I can post some pictures.
All-in-all you might be better off just finding yourself a Benchmite 3100.
