I would love to see benchmade do a limited run of the 710 . nothing fancy g10 handle and the newer cpm 154 . What do you think?

While I'm with you on a limited run of the 710, I'm thinking more along the lines of bolsterless Chad Nichols Boomerang Mokume Titanium Handle with a VPD DLC M4 Blade. If they're going to do it... Do it right!

That would be an epic knife! That handle would be pure art. I’m hoping they release some Damascus-handle knives again.

this sound awesome. but i'm still on the basic g10 154 cm . this is what i have and loving it. 710 is has run it's course with no new production it is sad to have the original just fade away

I doubt we will ever see another 710 roll of the BKC assembly line. But if we are fantasizing, I would love to see carbon fiber with those copper/gold specs in it. Don't know what its called. Blade of Elmax (i know they don't do Elmax) or 20CV.

I love the look of the 710 & bought a 710-1401 ( KW exclusive with M390 & their blue / black G10).I’m a big fan of M390 & KW’s 810-1401 so I thought the 710-1401 would be a big hit. For me it doesn’t feel good in hand. The handle scales seem to have more bulge in handle compared to standard 710, so it feels like it’ll roll during use, so it sit unused in box.
Benchmade has a vault of great retired knives. IMHO they’d be genius to take the tooling out of the vault & one knife model a year make a yearly limited run.
Example they never upgraded the 950’s steel, so what it they did a run in S30v or M390 ( they did M4 on the Forum Knife). Dido 941, 710 & others.

Cutlery Shoppe had a limited edition 950 with s30v and orange and black g10. I have one along with the regular and forum knife.

I love the look on this 710 - how did they get that color on the clip? Is that heat-treat or a coating? Or just a different metal?
