    Welcome to the forum Jgripcl!

Your 556 Mini Griptilian is pretty rare at this point in time. It originally came wire tethered to a clear plastic and stainless steel counter display with the Benchmade Logo (I've got the complete unit buried in my safe somewhere). It goes back to the release of the Mini Grip in it's original 440C Blade steel. Since that time it has seen base models change to 154CM and now S30V steels.

If you have the complete display its worth a lot more. Due to the fact that it had an "Unsharpened Safety Blade" it is not very useful beyond being used for display purposes.

I've heard of some owners that have sharpened the safety blades and venture that it would reduce the value. I've heard of some who have swapped blades and/or scales on to other 556 models.

    Hope this helps!

Awesome thank you! The blade is sharpened but I’m super exited to have this knife. Makes an interesting carry knife!

    Any idea what it’s worth?

They are pretty cool. I should have mentioned that the thing that makes them rare is that they were sent out to Authorized Dealers for display purposes to see the new "Mini Griptilian". Some dealers gave them away to better customers some kept them. I'm not sure in the numbers that were produced but I'll say they were pretty low.

Its hard to say especially since it's been sharpened. If it were mine, and I didn't have the complete display and I decided to sell it, I would auction it off on the bay and start at around $300. There's no telling how high it could go.
