I sent my Bugout in about 6 weeks ago for the Lifesharp and custom lasering service. My understanding was it would not take over a week and I would get updates as the knife made it through the process.
It took 3 weeks to complete and I never received updates and when I would call in to inquire as to the status the customer service rep was unsure why I wasn't receiving them and had no updates for me.
Is this the norm I can expect for those services?

Since the pandemic that seems to be the norm. LifeSharp always seems to take different amounts of time depending on the particular knife and the service required. The average on custom laser marking seems to be on average two weeks. And if you requested sharpening for your Bugout I'd add another week.
As well communication hasn't been the best. I venture do to the number of employees dedicated to service. This isn't always the case and I know it doesn't help give you a warm fuzzy. Hopefully time will help get issues like this sorted out.
