496 Vector
Was the 496 Vector discontinued? I don't recall seeing it on the discontinued list last year, but I don't see it on Benchmade's website as of right now.

The 496 wasn't on this years DC'd list published last year and it is in the 2022 Catalog along with its brother the 495 Vector. Its hard to say why it isn't on the Benchmade site although I'll add that BHQ shows it as DC'd. Maybe it's time with us is limited and it could fall into next years DC'd list. Only time will tell.

I noticed BHQ listed it as discontinued too, Maybe I'll call Benchmade on Monday to ask about it. If it is on its way out, I want to get at least one or two more to have as backups.
As much as I love the 496, I am a little surprised it lasted this long. An assisted knife with a compound grind probably doesn't have broad appeal, even if it is the only hollow grind currenty in Benchmade's lineup.

Blades Canada has it listed as discontinued as well, even though they are still in stock.

Why is it in the new 2022 catalog, I know they discontinued a lot of good knives but this makes no sense.

Great knife, and I've often thought of getting one, but it's just overpriced for what it is. I would not be surprised if it's gone after this year.
