SUPREME collab Bugout

Well, this one surprised the heck out of.
I’m guessing it’s going to be real hit or miss on this forum. Grabbing my popcorn now…

Any idea on production numbers? Not my thing but it might make a good investment if limited

I’m probably not a buyer since the Bug isn’t really the knife for me, but I kinda like it in a eyesore kinda way…
like the branding is so bad that it’s kinda good. I’m guessing that Benchmade wants to get the younger generation into their knives, so partnering with a skateboard company isn’t the worst idea - it might expand their consumer base. I could see this turning into an entire line of knives if it’s a success. Almost like using graffiti billboarding.
I’ll bet people buy both to build a black blade/red body knife and a red blade/black body knife.

I’m guessing the production number will be very limited, and like anything supreme, resale value will IMMEDIATELY skyrocket through the roof. There are many, many folks out there with bot/sniping apps who buy Supreme goods to flip for huge profits. Shoes/clothing can sell for 3, 5, even 10 times the retail price.
i grew up skating, and worked in the apparel world for over 7 years, but it was so impossible to get ahold of their limited collaborations that I never try. Don’t love the knife, but would be cool to own.

Supreme eyesore.. but it’ll sell like crazy.

Hmm. I think I'll wait for the "no ragrets" version.

/|\ Horrific!
Glad they used a Bugout & not a 940 for their promotion

It inspired me to do a custom bug out with a blade inscription that simply reads....
"Sup?"
It'll be my EDC for those days I head to the singles bars.

And here I was thinking I had given up on Nitrous Assist. You fixed the tip-down clip problem and added in some outstanding ivory scales! Gorgeous Work! You always have the best custom stuff!
When you do this kind of work, are you basically just doing everything by hand with small files, dremels, sand paper, hand polishing, etc...? Because the stuff you produce is top-notch. Did you ever get training on knife making or are you a sculptor? It seems to me you must have a gift for this artistry!
Any chance you have a website where you show off all of your work? I'd love to see your collection.

I saw the carnage and felt dumbfounded. That is truly a knife for a king! The carnage looks like something that belongs tucked into the waistband of an Ottoman Turk General from hundreds of years ago - no scabbard or sheath....just slipped into a red sash wrapped around the waist ready to be used for conquest!

I love Nitrous Assist. One of my main EDCs is a Subrosa.
I do pretty much everything by hand (Foredom rotary tool & sandpaper. The holes/counterbores I drill with a cheap-ass, tabletop drill press. You'd be surprised how little equipment I have). I've never received any kind of training. I'm certainly not gifted, but I learn something on every single item I make, no matter how routine or mundane. I post a lot of my stuff in Instagram under AsheDaltonTN.

Well…I think you’ve definitely got a gift! I’ll have to check out your Instagram page! Your work is truly tip-notch, brother!! Keep it coming!! It’s amazing that you can produce all that with so few tools - it speaks to the importance of talent and patience and learning as you go!

These are two of the biggest. And what comes along with those is developing an eye for the way an item should be. For example, the average person isn't really going to notice the difference between something that's 90%-95% perfect and something that's 100% perfect. When I started 20 years ago, 80-85% was "good enough," because I hadn't developed the eye to notice that type of detail or developed the patience to take it all the way.

Well, this is one way to get BMK out to other markets.
but in all seriousness, just for kicks, I would buy one to hold on to.
Let’s hope for a gentle msrp.1
