Work sharp

I have purchased the work sharp elite system and all I can say is wow. This thing is so inexpensive easy and works great. For years I used the DMT system and it worked well but this is the best I have ever tried and for only $120. You can’t go wrong lots of videos about it on YouTube my son kc2hse also got one and we are more than happy.

  I have been looking in to a new sharpener. any reason you did not go with the ken onion version? i guess its just a belt sander not sure.

  I keep wanting to pull the trigger in the Ken Onion Elite with the attachment. $210 for the whole setup - that’s about 15 trips to Lifesharp.

  It is not the Ken Onion it’s work sharp not belt sharpener, guided system similar to others not nearly as expensive.

  Bass pro Cabela’s any of those places have it in stock and yes very easy to set up look on YouTube lots of videos I was amazed at how well it works. I believe Amazon has them also.

  I have this & love it. Even without the attachments it's not difficult to regrind a blade. Great for keeping the convex grind most come with. I also picked up leather belts for stopping & diamond slurry spray. I have been thinking about getting the elite for flats

  Is there any worry about taking off to much steel when sharping. and needing a new blade sooner? is doing it buy hand better?

  The system I spoke of is hand operated like the wicked edge only a fraction of the price adjustable from 15- 30 degrees, just to clarify.

  It is possible to take off a lot of metal & blunt your tip if you don't have a good technique. Best advice is to get a $5 gas station knife & sharpen, dull on brick/rock, resharpen. Keep doing this till you get comfortable with your technique.

  Also to add there are 6 belts that cone with it. Only the lowest couple of grits are aggressive

  Fast, easy and cheap way to keep a sharp edge on your EDC. I used the clamp lansky setup for years with great results, this is even easier than that with better results.
