JUST CHECKING IN TO SAY HI.
It's been awhile since I was on the forum, just wanted to say hi and get reacquainted, a lot of things, mainly good things going on.
If there are any old timers still around, check in and say hi and let us know whats going on.

This Covid thing hit everyone world wide real hard, hope you fellow forumites managed somehow to keep it away from you.
Stay healthy.

/|\ Archer, nice to see your post & hear your well. Hope your back to posting, as in the past on a more frequent schedule.
So what have you been EDCing?

Hey Bill, archer! Figured I should stop by and say hello as well. Life's working out I suppose. My dad passed away at the last few days of 2020 due to complications of COVID. A lot of loss the last few years, but I'm thankful we got 3 more years with him after he had a heart attack.
Work is still going and so is life I suppose.
Carrying an old Sportsman's Warehouse green handle model of 707 today.

Sorry for your loss Carson, we also lost a few dear people to Covid, stay strong.
Hey Bill, I got a Crooked River on me, a birthday gift from my loved ones three years ago.

Good to see you back Archer and Carson

Great to see both of you fellas, Carson and Archer. I check last log in times from the old guys here and there, and low and behold, Archer was active last time I logged in. It made me happy. Glad you guys said hello.
Seems like a handful of other forum veterans (chip, djsportland, po, trailboss, sre, chip, et al) have logged in over the last couple days. Must be something in the air.

Double jabbed old timer saying HI!

Nice to see you posting again welcome back to the fold.

Well hey look it is Archer!!! I asked about you a few months ago, wondering how you had been. Good to see you are well.

Hey Archer! Good to see you and hear you —and you other guys too! —are doing well.
I had to say goodbye to my 17 year old dog last week, which frankly, was a miserable experience.
BTW, I’m carrying a 940s-1 today, which I picked up in a great deal from Jonearlt here in the forum.
Stay safe, everybody.

/|\ Trailboss,
Glad to see you posting, beyond swooping in to pick up a great deal from Jon.
My condolences for loss of your dog. I love all my pets, & know how tough it is when they pass. I truly believe in a loving & forgiving God so it may take some of us more time in Purgatory then others, but after atoning for our sins, I believe we’ll be reunited with loved ones both human & pets. I believe our pets will be able to communicate with us as well - hey buddy put more kibble in my bowel no need to be stingy no one gets fat in heaven.

Thanks guys, it's nice to be back, even if i don't as much as I used to, I still check in to keep updated.
Sorry for your loss TB, My condolences.
A lot of water under the bridge since I sort of left the forum a few years back, 2 or 3 maybe, left in attendance but not in spirit.
Took an early pension, rented out my house and relocated to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand.
Been living here on a retirement/pensioners visa for about about a year now and loving every minute of it.
Its a plan I have been ironing out for about three years before coming here, most of it was convincing my wife.
Some much to say in praise of this wonderful place and its people I could just go on and on.
I can already speak passable Thai and can read a bit, almost all is self taught, through hours and hours of YOUTUBE instruction, just dont have the attention span to classroom learn, not anymore.
This place and its people has changed my outlook and perspective on life dramatically.
Anyway, lots to share, still love BM's, most of my collection left back home, brought a few favorites with me and purchased a couple more online shipped here, a M4 Bailout and the new large Adamas.
Purchased from Ebay and shipped to Chiang Mai, arrived super fast, and get this, there was no customs fees.
I will log in from time to time and share with you guys my experiences, if anybody is interested to read them.
Stay safe, feels good to be home.

Archer, I would love to hear about your place in Thailand. I guess the trip you and your wife took a while back really made an impression.

Hey Archer. Good to hear from you. I'm a bit late to the party as usual. Chiang Mai sounds wonderful. Would love to hear more about it and the culture there in some of your future posts.

Hi everyone! Figured I'd jump in and just say hi also. Might as well use this existing thread because so much of the 'old' crew is no longer active here.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe in these insane times.4 -

Hey Archer, I was just thinking about you the other day. I hope all is well. I haven't been around much either in several years. Just passing through to see who is still around. Hello to you and any of the "old crew" that I haven't seen in awhile.
Cheers to all.

Hi
Just checking again, thanks for the warm welcome and its great to connect with everyone, Trailboss, OBJ, if I miss anyone I apologize.
Doing great here in Chiang mai, bought a Harley sportster for my 63 birthday last month, never rode a big bike before so I took a day long private course here.
Love to fire it up and take it out for a spin, its a second hand and the previous owner customized it a bit, put on some really loud pipes on it
, lots of Harleys in Thailand, they do run a bit expensive here but the Thais love them for obvious reasons of course.
This place really has a positive effect on everybody that moves to live here, I can go on and on.
I was also wondering about you OBJ, surprisingly enough my first Benchmade purchase was through Ebay in 2003, it was a 710 in D2, still one my favorites, got it on me now, one of the few I brought with me.
My wife is flying back in two months to visit family, she'll bring a few more of my favorites.
Hope everyone is doing OK, stay healthy and stay positive.

Archer,
Good to see you. Been a long time.
A very good friend moved to Israel at the start of 2021. I will tell them to stop looking for the guy with all the Benchmades.

I think last time we talked you were looking for a karambit for your son and he was serving in the military or police? I could be wrong about what he was doing, but I'm pretty sure about the karambit search. I hope the family is doing well and you found him a good one?

/|\ All you “oldies but goodies” stopping by to check in & say hello I’d wonderful!
Any of you. carrying any of the newer models or sticking with older tried & true EDC’s? I’m still a 94X guy but love the new 945 as a 5th pocket knife or when I need a sub-3” in certain cities. Chip, based on DC carry laws you should check it out.
My warmest regards to all!

Same ole same ole for me. The old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality. I have added an Infidel some and occasionally carry a Spydie Endura or Military. Here was today.
