Benchmade MeatCrafter Steven Rinella, 15500-1
Does anyone know where I can purchase the Benchmade MeatCrafter Steven Rinella 15500-1, and the Benchmade Knife DLC Altitude (black).
I need both knives to give as a gift set to my father-in-law.
I've searched online for hours with no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

/|\ Welcome the Altitude in DLC black was discontinued 2 years ago. Maybe one will come up on the bay.
The 15500-1 appears to have been very popular, I haven’t see one for sale in months.
Maybe your father-in-law can be convinced “orange is the new black”
Best of luck in your search.

The Rinella 15500-1 was not sold thru Benchmade Dealers. It was only available thru Rinella's website direct to consumers. So you are not going to find any "New Old Stock" on a dealers website or Brick & Mortar stores.
It's going to be only on the secondary market and I don't think all that many were made. 200? Just a guess.
The std Meatcrafter 15500 is now available https://www.benchmade.com/15500-meatcrafter.html

Welcome to the forum Ernie!
While they were primarily sold on Steve Rinella's site they were also available on one other site. I picked mine up from Scheel's as someone here had mentioned to me that they had inventory as well. And of course they were available from Benchmade directly although they were out of stock on release day. It didn't take very long for the MeatCrafter 15500-1 to completely sell out.
I'll warn you to be very careful when purchasing a MeatCrafter 15500-1. I recently found them available on a popular site that sells "only counterfeits". Its one that nobody really ever expected to be counterfeited. But it has been! Make sure you know how to spot a counterfeit BMK!
Note also that the Benchmade 15200DLC and 15200ORG Altitude models are also both highly counterfeited.
You might want to post in the Classified section here on the forum at
"Member Want to BUY Benchmades".Good luck in your search and hope to see you posting more here in the forum.

Ernie a MeatCrafter 15500-1 just went up on auction on the bay. Its currently at $350 with 0 Bids, 6+ days and the reserve hasn't been met. Hard to say what the reserve may be as there is no Buy it now price. It looks legit as far as a I can tell. Good luck!

That is nice, Thanks,

But, I hate reserve bidding. I'll watch it.

Thanks, I will give it a try, but I also hate bidding. If you don't have the software to place a bid 1 second before the sale ends, someone outbids you!

Ernie, agreed. Its become even tougher these days. A few years back there were a few that obviously used such programs to win in the last second. It was easy to spot them as you watched them outbid you. These days those numbers seem to have increased as much as buying BMKs on the second hand market has.
if you're going to play fair you just have to sit ready with your bid set to the highest your willing to pay for an item. Wait till the last few seconds and hit the ole bid button. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
I agree with you and Arc. I hate reserve bidding especially when there wasn't a BIN price. At least then you have a good idea what the reserve is set to.
I do find it funny that there is only an opening bid on it so far. We'll see what the weekend brings!
