Prototype 940 TI

Hi all, new here. I came over on the suggestion on a bladeforums member in search of information as well as value of a knife that’s been sitting in my safe for at least 15 years I’d say. I did look at the thread of all the 940’s and could not find this one with this date. What I have is a 940 TI marked “prototype May 2003” on the blade. The knife weighs 91 grams so it’s right on for the TI version. It has a S30V blade. It is in a silver hard case with the benchmade logo on the top of the box. Any information as well as a possible value would be greatly appreciated. Also it is in new condition. It has never cut anything and never been carried. Thanks in advance.

  Are you thinking of selling it or just looking to see what your cool 940 is worth?!

  Depends how much it’s worth I suppose. I prefer carrying my stuff, knives, guns, flashlights. I have collections of all but I like to carry all of them and this one I’ve always had a feeling was rare and worth something so if someone collects and can appreciate it for that I’d be open to considering selling it but I’d like the info before I make that decision.
