FS:565-1 Mini Freek
I am selling my mini freek due to an emergency. It is a excellent example of a Benchmade. There is no play and the centering is perfect. The blade drops free and smooth. There are two cosmetic issues to note. My son dropped the knife when I got it as soon as I handed it to him. Right on the asphalt of the parking lot. So as you can see in the pictures there is a ding on the thumb stud and some light scratches on the middle of the blade right above the bevel. Other than that the knife is in excellent condition and was only used to open some mail and cut about 10 pieces of paracord. I haven't owned it long enough to put major wear on it. Asking $100 plus shipping priority mail. I only have Venmo and Cash App set up at the moment.

Hey Folks,
It looks like [@mention:589599268366238360] is a scammer. I paid him on Thursday night for this transaction and he said he would send it via UPS on Friday, Nov 22nd. Unfortunately, since he was paid, he hasn't responded to any of my messages or provided any tracking info. I'll update folks if anything changes, but I recommend you avoid doing business with [@mention:589599268366238360] . I'll also add this info to the "bad experiences" thread. At this point, I'm writing off the purchase as a "lesson learned" - don't do business with anyone who won't accept PayPal Goods and Services or some sort of seller protection.

Yeah...posted there as well. Who knows - maybe he will actually reply and send the knife, but after 5 days of silence, I have my doubts...
On the plus side, I just got a fantastic knife from another forum member!

It really does suck!
While I see it happen on the bay and in the FB Groups its pretty rare that it happens here on the forum.
I guess maybe its a good idea to ask for vouches when it comes to New Enthusiasts and or Forumites that don't post to often here in the forum. I never would have thought that this would have happened here in the forum.
Good luck with with @surhoff88 MM!

Thanks Tim! I wouldn't have thought it would happen here either, particularly since the sales he's done in the past received good feedback. Sadly, it seems he's now following in the less-illustrious footsteps of FB. I should have been tipped off when he said he only uses Venmo and Cashapp. The same username of [@mention:589599268366238360] posted years ago on BladeForums selling some knives, and at the time, he had PayPal. Those transactions all received good feedback, but maybe one went sour and PayPal locked his account. Who knows...I guess it's a $100 lesson learned unless something changes! It's funny - I wasn't actively interested in getting a Mini Freek. I offered to buy it instead of the Auto Stryker I was planning to buy because he said he really needed the sale to cover some emergency needs and I thought I'd help out a forum member.
