Tell them to send you a new comparable knife or send it back to you

Seems like they’re treating you pretty good. It’s not like they would keep your property without permission. They are offering a fair price for an irreparable knife.

Welcome to the forum Sweergin!
When it comes to older model knives parts inventories only last for so long. Rarely do manufacturers replenish an inventory for a given knife. Benchmade is no different. So no conspiracy going on there. Basically you have a few options. The first being simply to call Benchmade CS and ask them to return your knife just the way it is. You could then look for the same model on the second hand market. Obviously this option will cost you the price of another knife that you may eventually run into the same problem with. Your second opinion would be to accept the generous offer of $150 and purchase a new model Benchmade Auto. There are a number to choose from and I'm sure you can find one to suit your needs and tastes.
Good luck with your endeavor!

I'd take the credit personally. If it's needing service and Benchmade can't repair it then it's probably not worth the price of the credit they're offering you. What model is it?

Welcome.
Its too bad they don’t have parts to repair your knife. But the $150 offer is a very nice gesture on BKC’s part. So now you have options.
An unusable knife in your pocket is just dead weight.
If it was me I’d have them send the knife back & hunt for similar model to use as parts. Mean time I’d buy a new auto from a online dealer. The cost of buying from online dealer will be more than the MSRP less the $150 BKC has offered but you have your original knife & hopefully find the donor knife soon.
If you don’t want your old knife back take BKC’s offer.
Let us know what you decide to do & what new knife you buy.

Unless it was an Entourage, I'd take the credit
