    For sure!

We dropped the ball on keeping you guys fed recently, and I apologize for that. This graphic is actually customized for the Forum. Dealers will still receive the traditional NPA, but those are....boring.

Open to any and all feedback regarding this new layout for product announcements.

Very nice design. I’ll def get one. Really think you could have offered a new color. The green has been around a long time. Desert earth, torpedo gray, matte silver, cracked ice blue. Just throwing out some options.

Love it too - Love to get one, but illegal in Canada too. Love the way you guys kept the original color, backspacer and contoured scales. Still my favorite Benchmade and my favorite EDC. Nice going.

Thanks for the update. Anything you can do to make the forum more desirable is of value. The knowledge base you have here among users is significant. I am often appalled at what I read on Facebook groups, people speaking without knowing what the are talking about. I have seen people calling a knife a fake, because they have never seen it and it was produced in like 2002...

I know many have wanted an auto 940. I am on the fence as to getting one myself I was completely happy with the manual.

Now if you make one in the old 942SBK configuration. I will be all over that.

It definitely appears to have emulated the 940 structure.  Most models that get the auto treatment end up changing the choil area somehow but this looks good.  Mark, I remember you mentioning the 942 was your preferred version.  I had a look at one recently and wasn't seeing much different from the 940.  What is it that makes that one special for you?

I have asked my Benchmade guy to get a couple for me. The thoughts of a 943BK blade modified to work in the 9400 just filled my brain with that ole "He'll yeah" thing!

/|\ Boinkman, like Mark I like the 942 better than the original 940. Reason is I like the black handle with blue Ti backspacer ( simply a matter of preference for color). So I’ve only one original green 940 but several 942’s. Then the 940 knife of the month came out & I liked the blue handle even more so bought several. No difference in performance. I’ll stop now & won’t ramble on about preference for CF over Al handles.

Now maybe this 940 auto in green is just first of many colors to come in next couple of years.

    I still want a 945 😀

Bill, tell me about this 945 you dream of??

/|\ At NYC Knife Show ( pre 9/11), Warren Osborne not only had a fancy custom 940 on his table but one 75% size ( approximately 2.9” blade) of original. So I’ve hoped all these years that BKC would produce a mini - 940. Folks at BKC have dubbed this potential future knife the 945 so I now refer it a mini- 940 as the 945.

Wishing & hoping & dreaming it’ll come into my life ( excuse me Dusty Springfield for using your song)
