/|\ +1 on thanks to Wulff.

Certainly better than the 940-2001, wish the 940-1501 was still around

Cool, I didn't know about this but nice to have another 940 kicking around. Up here they're probably going to be 400 bucks or more. Oh well, I guess I'll have to make do with what I have....maybe...

Just saw one of these pop up on eBay. Checked here to find more info and was surprised there isn’t anything in the “Information & Announcements” page. Isn’t that what it’s for, to announce new models? Would really like to know where I can pick one of these up at.

It literally says where you can pick one up in the above announcement that I posted

It says it’s available through “early qualification” and mentions it’s this years “Dealer Qualification.” I don’t know what that means.. The left part of the text is also cut off for me in your second image.

A Dealer Qualification knife is just that. An Authorized Benchmade Dealer has to place an order large enough that will qualify them to receive the 940BK-2002. Some dealers may get their's sooner than others. Some dealers may not qualify.  All you can do is call your nearby dealer and ask if they'll be getting one. If so ask how much it will be and if your good with the price ask them to hold it or if you can put a deposit down. Its' either that or pay the price that they'll garner on the second hand market.

Ah, okay - thanks for the info! Do dealer qualification knives generally go for full MSRP or MAP? Or does it just depend on the dealer?

No problem. It completely depends on the dealer. Thus its a good idea to get to know your local Authorized Benchmade Dealer Granted now considering the state of things that may be a bit difficult. Good luck!
