Nothing tripped my trigger oh well. My only comment is ,a mint Bug Out seams strange as I thought the BO was a small knife.

I've been wanting a Bugout and been a little held back by the 3 1/4" blade. With anything but the tamest knife, people in my office get pale and start asking if it's legal. The Mini might solve that, or maybe I'll get a full size and keep carrying the Megumi to the office.

Still waiting on the maxi series where they make the lineup bigger. Sometimes less is just less.
To give credit where credit is due, at least this gets under the magic three inches that is important in certain jurisdictions.

I found this 940 looks interesting.
It is titanium handle but Benchmade choose the totally flat design. They remove traditional 940 like this.
Why?
Take a look the Flytinum scale.
Which one do you "prefer"? :-)

/|\ I prefer the look & feel in hand Osborne’s original handle design regardless of handle material ( Al, CF, Ti or G10 - chronological order in which BKC used these materials).
It is sad that to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 940 BKC gave us one of the most underwhelming examples ( 940-2001).😔

II'm kinda with Bill and others here when it comes to the 940-2001 and its entire edge being an overall hot spot.
Mini Bugout? Well if I compare the idea to the Griptilian series it makes sense to have a Mini Bugout in the line. I EDC both size Grips and will need to have a M-BO in hand to see if it will work for a small knife carry day.
I like the new Bailout materials but I'm not big on Tanto blades. Still deciding on a regrind. Maybe.
The Tengu... Hmmm... Flipper again. Not so sure.
If I happen upon a Autocrat for a good price down the rod it might end up in my rarely carried OTF stack.
Mini Crooked River GC is already on the order at my local dealer. Just because its a Mini Crooked River and the newest Gold Class.
So I'm holding off on making any decisions or forming any hard opinions on most till my local guys get back from Shot and LVCKS and I can get them in hand.

I like the original design also. The reason I put the flyti out is try to point out maybe BKC don't want to use the original design. The only thing they can do is add the curved grove to distinguish each other.It would be the difficult to tell between the two. Which is fake?
To me this "fake" still a ? in my mind.

/|\A surprise to me was the re-designed Bailout plunged the prices on the original which made it hard to resist buying. I like the feel of old Bailout in hand. And the properties of 3v & M4 seem similar from readings on line the differences for my preferences ( toughness & rust resistance) tick more favorably to 3v. Anyone hear of 4V the love child of the two?
Will likely buy aftermarket handles to rid flex ( and will still spend less than the price of new Bailout 😀)
Want the M-BO but want to know why handle is thicker ( .42”) than standard Bugout.

The original Bailout sure got my attention, especially upon initially handling one. I really liked the design.
I personally decided to forgo the 537GY in favor of waiting for... the 437GY-1, as it turns out. I haven’t handled the new one yet, but in theory, I’m suspecting to be pleased overall. Only thing that I think I might dislike about the -1 (from my couch) is the addition of the carbide breaker. I’ll probably use that little guy as an excuse to talk myself out of buying one... Yet I like what I see.

Mac, I’ve always an interest sub-3” blades. A sub-3” with axis lock even better. Still hoping for that 945 as Jason named it.🙏🏻

Jason coined it as a 945 based on last digit being a “5” used to designate a mini of a prior BKC model

After getting to work I clicked the link in the email again to show a coworker and got the all to familiar "We are sorry, but the page you are looking for cannot be found."

1) is that you opening the knife?
2) the knife opens fast, but in watching it several times I never see him flick the thumbstud or put back on the axis lock & wrist snap it open. So is it trick photography or mental telepathy? Thanks!
