/|\ Tu, I prefer the 940-1 over 940-1802. Standard shaped handle so much better for indexing IMHO.

Gotta agree with Bill. The -1802 if GORGEOUS, but the standard shaped scales do handle better.

I think it was boinkman that posted a 940-1 with a 943BK blade that caught my eye. I wonder if i would be allowed to purchase the blade from the factory

I did one up like that so it was either Boinkman or I.
I did mine is with a coated 943 blade. And honestly I don't remember what Boinkman's was.
Normally its "like for like" on replacements but this would be different as you're looking to buy a blade. Since you live next door to the Benchmade factory you might be able to go in and beg, a lot! But who knows. Let us know how you fair Tu!
