Stryker 2 screw/liner question
I wanted to try to make a liner for my Stryker 2 to replicate the slightly thicker scales of the KSF M4/carbon model I have. Does anyone know about how much extra thickness the pivot screw and scale screws might allow? I'm shooting for 1mm on each side.

Update: I ended up just getting a playoff folder, cutting it to shape with screw holes, and placing them under the scales. It probably added less than a mm of thickness, but I like it. You don't even see the liners they are so thin.
Downside... There is a little slop on lockup with the blade tightened to not drop freely.

Scott if you don't mind me asking why did you decide to "thicken up" the liners on your Stryker II?

Basically, I was trying to replicate the feel of my CF M4 Stryker II. I picked up a 154cm Stryker II because I was afraid the CF M4 version might slip out of my back pocket when riding the motorcycle. The thickness/feeling I was looking for was because of the following.
About once or twice per month, I have tasks that require a little extra force than my normal needs. If I can get through it without much discomfort (along with some other requirements), I consider it a go-to blade. One task, for example, requires a push cut through about 4' of 1.5" - 2" thick styrofoam. Very thick cardboard is also, sometimes a concern. My hand is the weak point, otherwise most knives will do. Sort of like using a 3.5" MT saw to cut limbs on a tree... it can be done, but I'm going to grab the 10" folder (or recipricating saw) if I know I'm going to be working on limbs.
For these tasks, the thicker handles, particularly around the web of the hand, play a significant factor, as well as the grind, blade thickness, and blade shape. These tasks are also one of the reasons I don't always carry my very comfortable Buck 110's or 112's all the time, as I don't want to put all that pressure on the lockbar.
