  Are the scales aluminum and what is the blade steel?

  As this Introduction came out this morning and only shows minimal information on the Benchmade Website I would have to say that is is going to be the same construction as the 407 Vallaltion. Basically a smaller version of the standard Vallaltion.

  Most likely CPM-S30V (58-60 HRC) Blade Steel with 6061-T6 Aluminum Handles.

  Yep, good ol' 6061-T6.  Blade is S30V.

  Once it's been out for a while you might actually find some custom G10 scales.
