The Safe handle ?

Which handle on a Bali is suppose to be the safe handle ?

The one with the lock on it or the one the lock goes into ?

The handle without the latch is the safe handle, the back side of the blade will contact you hand if you grip this handle, If you grab the latch handle the blade can come in contact with your flesh.

/|\ But not all brands / models have latch on same side. Also some balisongs have dagger blades with both edges sharpened.
Be careful DJ. Buy a trainer & get good with that first. 👍🏻

It all depends on the style of the bali-song. The two primary styles are: Batangas - latch on the "bite" handle, and Manila - latch on the safe handle. All Benchmade Bali-songs are Batangas style.

I have a trio of 49s and I like a two-handed opening. Doesn’t look cool, but I get to keep my fingers.
