Vallation vs Turret thoughts?
I was just hoping to get some opinions comparing the two. I've been thinking about getting a 2nd Boost, but I wouldn't mind a heftier BM knife for some days. Although I have a CR and 570, I usually reach for my ZT 0909 when I want to carry around a hefty folder...not counting my Buck 110's. I handled an Adamas in-store, but it just didn't click with me for what I was looking for (although I wouldn't mind taking a dremel to shape the scales to my liking and trying my hand at putting on a convex grind).
The assist is not a deciding factor for me. Additionally, hammer grip comfort is a big deciding factor for my knife purchases. I also like stronger tips in knives over 3.5".
Any thoughts?

From a perspective of holding the two I think the 407 Vallation is a lighter use knife compared to the 980 Turret (5.81oz) even though the Vallation weighs more (6.38oz). Handle shapes being completely different between the two as well. IMHO they both have different EDC use cases. I carry my 407 when I'm in town and going to be doing moderate work requiring a knife. I carry my 980 at times when I'm heading up to the hills and might be putting the days EDC through some abuse. Maybe its just in my head that the more expensive Vallation is a prettier knife than the work horse look and feel of the Turret.

Heck... Buy um both! lol

/|\ 3rd option 810-1401. Stronger tip than the others. I really like secure feel in hand.
