Identified Balisong - Benchmade750 Pinnacle Frame Lock Knife
I found this on the bay and the seller didn't know what it was. They only listed it as a "Benchmade Knife". There was no box included in the sale to help identify the knife. I've researched and can't find anything here on the forum or anywhere on the internet.
It's only labeling is the Butterfly Logo with Balisong in the center and Benchmade U.S.A. below. The handle appears to be titanium. There is no laser etching for the type of blade steel. It has a single sided thumb stud, a plastic back spacer, solid pin stop, graphite washers, Benchmade U.S.A tip down only clip, and standard pivot pin screw assembly with the lock side of the frame being D shaped and the presentation/screw side being round.

The knife is in excellent condition with no scratches in the blade and minimal snail trails on the handles. Lock up and centering are perfect and its actually pretty tight.
UPDATED... Dano identified it as a 750 Pinnacle.

For those that may come across this thread in the future...
Excerpts from CustomTacticals...
The Benchmade Pinnacle 750 was Benchmade’s answer to the CRK Sebenza. While this knife is difficult to obtain now, it was very commonly traded in the early 2000’s.
The level of finish on the titanium handles is very good, bead blasted both for grip and ease of manufacture. The handles are 6AL-4V titanium . The Framelock is dubbed by Benchmade as a “MonoLock”. The black Zytel backspacer is jimped, with ridges popping up just past the edge of the handles, providing extra grip. The slightly recurved blade is ATS-34 and has a nice point to it, with not too much belly. The thumbstud is only mounted for righties, so not the best knife for a lefty. No reverseable pocket clip, either.Blade Steel: ATS-34
Handle Material: Titanium
Overall Length: 8.35″
Closed length: 4.75″0 -
Great Knife!
Here are some variants.

This is on of the few BMK's were there is significant changes from the Proto's to the productions. This being the cut for the frame lock. There were also two different versions of the the cut in productions knives. Shown are 1st & 2nd Gens.

Short story. I found the prototype 750 in a box of loose knives at the OKCA show. Never assume that there is nothing worthwhile in those boxes. The occasional gem is worth the time. I think I paid 50.00 for it

Original MSRP was 150.00. I sold most of mine between 170 & 195.

I've seen those GCs on the bay from time to time and with a limited run of only 200 they get top dollar usually between $700 - $1000.

I always check out boxes of loose knives at the shows. "They're like a box of chocolates, You never know what you're going to find!" Found a few keepers myself.

I'll be carrying this one today.

Thanks for the additional info Scott!
