i recently purchased the 808 Loco from Blade HQ on clearance since the knife was discontinued at a great deal, but the G10 scales are rather slick. Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding some custom scales for this model benchmade?

Here’s some Keyman Loco scales for ya.

Pretty sure he can drill your stock scales for more grip too

I’ve always admired that Keyman job of yours, BM.  Fantastic.

    It is very cool looking.

I THINK it's a copper inlay that he tarnished somehow.

Those are sick!! I’m not that worried about dressing mine up, this will definitely be a working knife, I just don’t want my greasy hands slipping while using this beast...I plan on using the hell out of this knife just like I did my bone collector for many years

Well you bought the right knife, it’s a beast.

The Loco is a favorite, most carried at a time of Keyman.

He has many times commented on the robust construction

It is definitely a beast, I thought my bone collector was a decently sized knife but this guy is on a whole other level.

I’ve PM’d Keyman about interest in scales but haven’t gotten a response, I’ve tried to search the web but the knife isn’t a “popular” line so nobody really makes anything for the 808. I may just have to deal with how slick the scales are and be extremely careful

Take some sandpaper to the scales to rough up the surface as a short term solution.

Sometimes it takes Keyman a few days to respond - don’t give up on him.

if you go to the for sale section if this Forum ( below) I think Keyman is selling a couple of his customized Loco’s.

Yea, his custom mini locos are nice, and both at a killer price.
