Pimping your Benchmade Knives
As many of you know I’m a big fan of Benchmade’s knives particularly the 94Xs. As the 94Xs isn’t in the custom builder I’ve had to look out side BKC ( Jason you’re leaving lots of $$$ on the table 😂) to others as BKC doesn’t keep up with my needs for MORE 940’s.
I’ve gotten handles from DOAT & Ti hardware from several places to customize my 940
I’ve also had
- Keyman make handles for a 950
- DOAT drill lightening holes in my 950’s & make G10 backspacers for my 810-1401
- Belch has made handles for a Bugout.
All good stuff & recommend all the Artisans both work & to deal with.
Oh, I also switch clips BKC split arrow on all 940’s & standard BKC clip on all 950’s. Hate deep carry clips, so remove those & normally replace sliver clips with black as attract less attention.
So what have you done to pimp your Benchmade EDC’s?✌🏾

+Changing screw, spacer colors, easy stuff. I have never order a custom scale.
How much they usually cost?
On the contrary I like deep carry and silver.
I can understand why BKC don't have different scales to sell.
The market is small. They want to sell the whole knife not parts. Custom scales are very attractive but cost more and the main function is the blade not the scale. just my 1 cent.

Not sure if this counts as pimping but this started off as an 806D2. Swapped handles with an 806sbk-901, then swapped blades with an 806bk-1101 to end up with this nightmare.
