New Griptilians
I read on another forum that the Griptilians are getting a steel upgrade and possible change to the grind on the HG models. Anyone have the full details? Jason? lol

We're not officially releasing all the details yet, but we are making changes to pretty much the entire base Griptilian line. Coming soon!

/|\ YES !
Jason to be fair, as the premiere knife manufacturing company to stay ahead of the rest this is expected across the entire line ( e.g. Rift & Bedlam)

The Bedlam is being upgraded to solid Gold handles, motorized chain saw blade, and now comes with a "Pity the Fool" chain necklace standard.
You're. Welcome. Buddy.

/|\ Appreciate the additional news. In addition to that Gold Class Bedlam will there be what PO terms a “Sliver Class” too?👍🏻

Don't forget about Bedlams in platinum, palladium, & rhodium classes

Yessir, there will be, of course. The Silver Class Bedlam features a hand-polished CP Titanium blade, liquid-cooled uni-grain glass handle scales, a laser-guided tip mount, and a sheath made from only the finest Unicorn hides.

Will that be free range Unicorn hides?

I think there will be really bad juju for using real unicorn bits.

as long as you use the entire animal the bad juju should be canceled out. besides, unicorn is delicious

No. Totally the opposite. Rare/endangered species bring the best juju.
(At the absolute top of wishlist is a panda fur coat - an all black one. And if I had my way, it would be made from the fur of baby pandas. Much softer.
And, of course, I always keep an eye open for rhino horn & pangolin hide).

Why not go all the way and do a blade from Santa's sleigh runner, Rudolph antler handle with red nose inlays, and Santa belly skin sheath?

We ran into some processing issues trying to resin-impregnate the red nose composite. Turns out it's a very finicky material, due mainly to the lack of confidence of that particular reindeer. If we figure it out, we'll let y'all know.

Yeah that doesn't help either.

Rivers Edge Cutlery is showing stock. The only change I’m seeing is to the blade steel.

Will be a full tang with a co-axial axis lock?
Because that's what the competition is offering.

What is going to happen to the 550-1?
I see it as discontinued...

I don't believe that one's going anywhere. Just a reminder: this time of year we typically discontinue a lot of SKUs. That doesn't mean the whole family is going away.

Double co-axial AXIS lock with a full serving of tang. Astronaut style.

Thanks, Jason! Great! I was scared; I went into a panic buying mode... I am excited to see what is coming. I wish I knew more about the possible new grips in g10 offerings for 2019.
Is BM planning to announce it soon?
Thanks again,

I'm not sure there'll be a huge announcement, but we'll be starting to talk about it soon, yes.
