    Yes.  Many.

So, if I order after market springs for several different models, I should probably order several different sizes to be sure of getting ones that fit my knives.

All of our coil springs are specifically designed for each model, so I'd be surprised if you can find one that works particularly well from a 3rd party, although I could definitely be wrong.  The tolerances are quite tight.

Why do you need aftermarket springs?  Did something break?

No.  It's my Boy Scout complex...you know, "Be Prepared".   Add that to my philosophy that Murphy (of Murphy's Law fame) was actually an optimist and I fully expect breakage or wear to pop up eventually.

Haha ok noted.  Well if you do have a break occur, we'll service your knife for you.  I'll be real interested to know if you can find someone who can make after market springs.  I think it'd be tough to get them right.

I know about the lifetime warranty but I understand Benchmade cannot return knives directly to owners unless they're LE or military because of Federal regulations.  Although it's legal in my state for me to buy, own and carry auto knives, I don't fit into either of these classifications.  Since my knives were bought online and out of state, I don't have a local dealer to assist me in returns.  It kinda leaves it up to me to take care of any issues that come up.

    On the bright side

I'm seventy years old so there's less of a chance the knives will need service within what's left of my lifetime.
