9100 or 9101?
I was looking at this 9100 from a while back and noticed the open area on the back. I thought the 9100 was solid and the 9101 had the open space, but the blade is marked 9100. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Any help is much appreciated!

My 9100 has a solid handle. Your handle looks like a 9101 as it has the open handle and the enlarged auto button. As far as your blade being marked 9100, not sure... I would call BM CS and see what they have to say.

Hey Shadow, that's what I was thinking. I'll get in touch with them and see what they say. Thanks for the reply!

It's a 9101SBK that was sold to military. Only took three phone calls.
9101: larger plunger lock; open back; quad mount for clip; stronger spring.

I've had one fail repeatedly on a 5000, old style axis bar that screwed together, the knife had some time on it, a user, they fixed it.
