560 Freek custom builder
Are there any plans to add the Freek to the custom builder? With the way the LE M4 version disappeared into the hands of secondary-market “flippers” (and are now selling for $300-400 or more), I think that it’s clear there’s a demand for alternative versions with G10 scales and other steels.
I definitely use mine quite a bit, but I would love it if BM would at least do a G10 version like they did with the Griptilian; the scales make it tough to get out of the pocket, and although S30V is a decent steel, the 20CV that they put on the Grip is just ridiculous. I’m regretting that I got the production versions of the full-size and mini Crooked River instead of going with the custom builder for those. (Alas, BM will not swap out the S30V blades for 20CV because they didn’t originally come that way...)

/|\ I don’t think so, not likely. The Freek is too close to Grip to add Freek to the custom builder

Well, a custom builder option might be a bit much to ask, but what about a premium version of it? It seem that BM had great success with the G10 Grip with 20CV (it’s an awesome knife), and the only criticism I’ve really heard about the Freek is the rubberized handle scales.
I almost feel like the limited run Freek in M4 was testing the waters for an upgraded version. I came very close to getting one of those, and I’ll admit that I’m a bit sore that many (if not most) of those ended up in the hands of dealers who immediately flipped them for almost triple the price. Business is business, but I’m tired of people who snap up several LE knives in order to gouge the folks that BM actually made the knives for.
Just my $.02
