My Volli just came in, i got 664/1000...i feel bad i got a first run production # because ill be using it, but oh well! this knife is a slicer, the texture is deep, and solid. it has tons of grip. but not bothersome of the hands. when open, it feels perfect. it fits in my hand nice.i just wish it had a deep carry pocket clip with the butterfly on it...ill be emailing benchmade shortly!
anyway, i love this knife. i dont have a barage to compare it to, but i held a mini barage in cabelas, it was nice, but this was a tad bigger and is all G10. the assist is very nice, and strong, smooth. in all aspects better than my 913. Axis assist, please get your ass on a stryker for next year! the blade is centered, no wiggle left or right or front and back. this is a solid, smooth knife. if your on the fence, un-decided, dont hold back. plus, $110 bucks, you cant beat it! photos from my iphone.

I was considering ordering one of these but after seeing your pictures I think I might pass. The handle is almost as long as the 913 and the blade is significantly shorter. I am a fan of knives that get the most blade length per handle length and the Volli doesn't look like one of those.

Ya, that almost detoured me as well. However there are too many features I like at that price point(axis assit, g10, steel other than i54). The axis assist is too cool.
Figure it's worth a try, might not keep it, but i'll try it. Just not now, stupid money......

I am also quite particular about sharpened blade length versus overall length, but I like the Volli very much. Tony said it well, there are many good points about the Volli that overcome the low edge/handle ratio. Also, in the hand, it just feels very good, and the blade design is really excellent. You just look forward to cutting stuff with it. That plus the Axis Assist make it a fun knife to use.
