"Spurs" on lasercut sheets
What are these bits for? (image from here)
The most likely purpose is to hold the knife blank onto the sheet: eventually the knife would be pried out and the burr ground off. On closer inspection, the cutter seems to have cut around that shape entirely so it's not even clear that there's anything still attached. Any thoughts?

I think it's 375 fixed Adamas.
And laser start to cut on this points.0 -
Good point. Or it could be there to help hold the blade in place for another step or two in the production process before it gets ground off and sharpened? 0 -
Given the marks around those bits pointing towards 11 o'clock on the image and the fact that there aren't other obvious cutting path termination points, it does seem like the laser starts and ends there. Neat! 0 -
It's also intentionally placed on tang part which go to be grinding/sharpen later.

That point is what we call a microjoint. It is the starting and stopping point for the laser. It also hold the parts in place during the cutting process. 0 -
Thanks Tracy for the info. 0 -
