New Vex 10751
I did miss something in the forum? I found this today [Per the Terms of Service at the bottom of every page-- dealer advertisement and linking is prohibited. Thanks.]
The price got my eye first. Then I had to figure out how it locked once I noticed no axis lock.
Don't know anything about the steel, but for this price it has my attention. Maybe not an EDC piece, but I can see it in the glove box as a backup. Might get one just to finally try a tanto as well.
Who knows anything about the steel?

It's not new... it's actually a discontinued red class (made in China, I think).
The steel is Chinese made - I think it's supposed to be similar to AUS8 or something of the sort.0 -
I used to have the drop point version, I really liked mine actually, very solid liner lock. The steel as "something" mentioned is equivalent to AUS-8 or 8cr13 as used on Spyderco's tenacious line, decent edge holding, stainless, very easy to sharpen. 0 -

+1
I'm sure it's just some old new stock KW came across. That happens from time to time.0 -
It's the old VEX and it has a number of positive features. I still have one of each and am glad I do.
BTW- Everyone says that China steel 8Cr14MoV, 8Cr13MoV is similar to AUS-8. In my experience AUS-8 is far superior.

FYI- Be careful of counterfeit versions coming out of China after the fact. I think I recognize the fake hand and knife display, which is prominent on a website that has nothing but counterfeits and replicas.0 -

Always a good point in reference to counterfeit Benchmade’s.
I do want to assure you that I took those photos myself using real Benchmade Vexes and one of the many severed body parts I have lying around the house.
Those Vex knives are built like tanks.0 -
Vex is a great knife. 0 -

That just sounds so wrong...
Did you use the Vex to sever the body parts?
