How to "Auto-Subscribe"

Is there a way that I can setup an auto-subscribe or auto-favorite for topic I start or reply to?

  Yep hit the notify flag at the top.

  Yes, but it appears that all of those options require you to get an email, correct?

  Yes an email is required to get the notifications. There is no tapatalk for this forum as far as I am aware. I just found a spot in the profile section that you can set auto notifications click the notifications on the left hand margin. Click edit on the forum part and set it up to your liking.
